Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy

Reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD) is an illness that affects the patient’s sympathetic nerve system. RSD is defined by severe chronic pain in the affected region, like an individual’s leg or arm. When the initial symptoms are present, RSD will continue to get worse as time goes by.

RSD is a debilitating , painful condition that can have an enormous impact on patient’s life. There is no cure for RSD but a variety of treatment options are available to ease RSD symptoms. If the condition is treated at an early stage it is likely that patients will get better results.
